I find Twitter extremely annoying. The idea of company's twittering to reach customers isn't as clever as they may hope: all of their "updates" will be viewed with the same suspicion that any thinly veiled spam is. I use Twitter on one of my blogs as a very lazy way to add content. Moms are using it like crazy (and will for some time) because their lives are crazy and often somewhat isolated; they get to connect with friends and heard in less tan 30 seconds. 15 seconds if they have a Blackberry. When a business tweets, they're doing so to the choir, their cult following, not to prospective customers.

Following form John Bell's blog. I hope you made it out of SFO! My flight was delayed for five hours. Urgh.

I joined Twitter during my time at BlogHer. I had been trying to get things going over at Plurk, but the reality is that most of my friends are on Twitter. Don't expect a Twitter strike any time soon; moms love it.

The women of BlogHer are amazing! Drop me a note through my blog if you want 20 minute's worth of my $.02 on mom blogs.
